Ride to FIM Awards: Round table discussion at the Ducati Museum on “The Future: Sustainability and Motorcycling”

The “Ride to FIM Awards” event series continues and will lead up to the 2022 FIM Awards ceremony to be held on Saturday 3 December in Rimini, where the 2022 World Champions of all FIM disciplines will be celebrated.

After the workshop on communication and behaviour as a professional rider held on 1 September in Misano (Italy) and the series of meetings on “Tourism as an enabler of the sustainable development goals” organised on 23-24 September in Rimini (Italy), the last event before the FIM Awards is scheduled to take place on 29 November at the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale, Bologna, (Italy).

The round table “The future: sustainability and motorcycling” will be hosted by Ducati. This event will provide an important discussion platform between Federations, manufacturers, industry representatives and local authorities. It will be launched by Giovanni Copioli (FMI President), Stefano Bonaccini (President of the Emilia Romagna Region) and Claudio Domenicali (Ducati Motor Holding CEO).

Jorge Viegas, FIM President, will kick off the panel discussion, together with high-level speakers involved and proactively committed to ever greater sustainability within the motorcycling world, notably:
Michele Cecchini (Head of eMotosport Enel X Way); Andrea Dell’Orto (Dell’Orto Executive Vice-President); Andrea Pontremoli (Bologna MUNER University President); Katia Juarez (FIM Sustainability Commission Director); Pippa Ganderton (ATPI Director of Global Account Management).

In what promises to be a constructive discussion, conducted in a spirit of full cooperation, numerous topics will be addressed, including energy transition, the FIM sustainability policy, the introduction of alternative energies, and other topics of interest related to sustainability and environment protection.  The organisation of this round table demonstrates the strong commonality of intentions of several leading actors and their shared intention to foster the development of motorcycling in a direction that focuses on environment and land protection.

Julian Thomas and Barbara Pedrotti will be the moderators of the round table.
