After a break of two months the 2012 FIM Freestyle MX World Championship starts this weekend with the NIGHT of the JUMPs in Torino / Italy. The 2012 Season is going to be a very long one, with a new tour stop in China and some other new locations on the map. Therefore the FIM and the NIGHT of the JUMPs decided to have one drop result – which will give the whole series more dynamic. Injured riders could skip an event and must not risk health while riding. Unluckily two favorites for the tour benefits from this rule Josh Sheehan and Petr Pilat both RED BULLL Athletes are injured and could not compete during the first stop.

Another new thing is that Maxxis and NIGHT of the JUMPs decided to crown the MAXXIS Highest AIR overall Champion with a TAG Heuer Watch at the end of the year.
