Zoom on Long Track

Long Track is often compared to Speedway, but there are a few differences between the two.

So what are they?
Long-Track tracks are 800 to 1300 metres long and are greylag, sand or grass.

There are six riders on the line (versus four for Speedway) and they cover four laps at speeds of more than 120 km/h!

Long-Track bikes are built with a two-speed gearbox and rear suspension, and they are bigger than the speedway version.

The mechanics are essentially the same, only the settings are different because of the track lengths.

Few riders can succeed in the two disciplines: only reigning FIM Long Track World Champion Joonas Kylmakörpi has reached the top in both of them.
