The FIM Women´s Enduro World Cup race took place last weekend in Ambert, France. Altogether nineteen women from four different continents took part in the competition in which Jane Daniels was crowned as 2019 World Cup Winner.
The FIM Women´s Enduro World Cup series has not been celebrating the number of participants during the last few years. Back in 2016 altogether eighteen women took part in the series that included four rounds, the last couple of years the number of participants has been between six and eight. Last weekend´s World Cup that was the only race weekend for women in the 2019 calendar, however this showed that there is still big interest amongst the women. Nineteen women took part in the World Cup Finals held in Ambert, France. The participation number is second biggest in the history of the FIM Women´s Enduro World Cup, the race organised in 2014 in Finland had only one more participant.
This year´s event was more international than ever before when records were set in both; the number of nationalities - nine and number of different continents - four.
The winner of the 2019 FIM Women´s Enduro World Cup is Jane Daniels from Great Britain who claimed the championship for the first time after finishing first on both days. Last year´s winner Finnish Sanna Kärkkäinen took now silver and Mireia Badia Camprudi from Spain got bronze.
Jane Daniels: “At last I have won this title that I have been waiting for so long! I am really happy and I am very proud to bring this trophy home with me!”
