As part of the FIM Sustainability Week, the FIM Women’s Commission proudly takes this opportunity to celebrate the women in leadership positions across the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). This celebration reflects our strong and ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality throughout the motorcycling world—both on and off the track.
At the heart of the FIM’s sustainability strategy is the belief that true sustainability cannot be achieved without addressing inequality. Gender equality and women’s empowerment are central pillars of all seventeen Sustainable Development Goals. Women are not only affected by today’s global challenges - such as climate change, inequality, and economic instability - they are also key drivers of the solutions. As UN Women states, “These challenges affect both women and men, but women play a key role in finding solutions by contributing ideas and leadership skills to solve these problems.”
The FIM embraces this truth. We are actively working to increase the representation of women in leadership across the motorcycle ecosystem - from technical roles like doctors, track officials, and sustainability officers to administrative and governance positions on boards of directors, national federations and sports commissions.
Encouraging more women to lead is one of the FIM’s key recommendations for achieving equal opportunities in motorcycling. We are proud to be turning that recommendation into action - by creating pathways, offering support, and ensuring women have the opportunity to lead, influence, and inspire.
The FIM Women’s Commission, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in 2026,continues to be a driving force in this movement. Since its creation, it has been instrumental in developing successful championships for women across disciplines such as motocross, enduro, trial and circuit racing. These efforts have opened doors for female athletes and laid the groundwork for greater inclusion across all areas of the sport.
This year, the Commission proudly joins Sustainability Week, amplifying the voices of women in leadership across the FIM community. Representatives from Continental Unions, National Federations, the FIM Administration, and Sports Commissions will share their stories and help inspire the next generation of female leaders in motorcycling.
We invite you to explore the FIM Sustainability Report, where you will find powerful examples of progress, and learn more about how the Women’s Commission is helping shape a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future for motorcycling.
Janika Judeika - FIM Women's Commission Director stated: “In the FIM Women’s Commission, we believe that inclusion is not a goal - it is a driving force for progress. When women lead, entire systems benefit from broader perspectives, stronger collaboration, and more resilient solutions. This campaign is a powerful reminder that empowering women in leadership is not only about fairness; it is about unlocking the full potential of our sport and creating a legacy that reflects the diversity and strength of our global motorcycling community.”
Kattia Juárez FIM International Sustainability Commission Director added: “Authentic leadership is measured not only by achievements, but by the ability to inspire change, foster inclusivity, and drive sustainability at all levels. Whether in governance, industry, or competition, we must set a precedent for responsibility, equity, and environmental stewardship to ensure a lasting impact for future generations."
