With just a few weeks to go until the highlight of the season 2013, Jordi Viladoms causes a major surprise in the rally scene. The Catalan changes the team and has decided to enter the upcoming Rally Dakar aboard a Husqvarna TE449 prepared by Speedbrain. World championship runner-up Viladoms will not be part of the official Husqvarna Rallyeteam by Speedbrain, but being the elite rider he is, he will receive a customer bike of the very latest Speedbrain specifications. Jordi is supported by Chilean team Tamarugal XC and his personal mechanic. Viladoms is going to participate in his seventh Dakar and is known to be a desert fox. He finished the 2012 edition in January fourth overall. The 32-year-old feels that the TE 449 RR is the best possible choice for him. "The bike has reached a top level in a very short amount of time," he says. "It is reliable, offers a superb handling and is super fast, too." "To be able to secure a new team and a new bike that shortly before the Dakar is a vote of confidence," the winner of the Sardinia Rally 2012 adds. "I will do whatever it takes to pay back the faith shown towards my capabilities with a top result." The fact that Viladoms has chosen the Husqvarna TE449 RR by Speedbrain shows the high ranking of the bike within the field. It´s a confirmation for the machine itself and for the successful development work carried out by the speedbrain technicians. Speedbrain wishes Jordi much success in his mission.
