It is with great sadness that the International Motorcycle Manufacturers’ Association announced the death of Edwin Bastiaensen, IMMA Secretary General.
Edwin Bastiaensen served as IMMA Secretary General from 2011 to 2024 and before this, he was part of the motorcycle community at the European motorcycle manufacturers’ association, ACEM. The grief from this tragic loss of Edwin has touched the whole motorcycle community across the globe. Edwin leaves behind him an immense legacy of dedication to a sector that, for so many of us, represents more than just a job, it is a passion.
Edwin was a figurehead to our industry, well known to so many in our sector and beyond, through the international institutions with which IMMA collaborates. His collegiate approach and enthusiasm for our work and most of all his friendship will be deeply missed.
