Trentini – New Italian talent

Twenty-year-old Sara Trentini – Beta has her sights set high heading into the 2011 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship. This year marks only her second season competing on the World stage and after claiming a hard fought fifteenth in the general standings at the end of 2010, the young Italian lady is keen to make a name for herself this time around. Trentini, who rides for the Italian based Miton Top Trial Team, sent a clear message to her rivals early in the year, after claiming an impressive sixth place finish at the opening round of the UEM European Trial Championship. Having recorded fourteenth at the second round of the European series in Grossheubach, Germany yesterday, Sara is looking to record a good result at the opening round of the World series, which is being held over the same course today. “This is my first year as a full time professional rider. I finished schooling at the end of last year and now I spend one hundred percent of my time on my bike training. Throughout the winter I did a lot of practicing so I am confident I can improve on my results from last year.” “Now I have ridden the course in Germany I know what to expect and I feel that I can make a good result. My aim is to finish in the top ten at every round of the series and hopefully inside the top ten of the championship standings at the end of the season.”
