The FIM is saddened to confirm the passing of Portuguese rider Jorge Brandao following a tragic accident on stage five of the Rally du Maroc earlier today, 17 October 2025.
Participating in the event for the second time, Jorge crashed in the dunes at Kilometre 214, and although he was attended to by the event medical team and then transferred to the hospital in Erfoud by air ambulance, he later succumbed to the injuries that he had sustained during the crash.
Born in Arouca, Portugal – Jorge was a very experienced rider in both enduro and cross-country rallies at national and international levels.
