“I have to congratulate you ladies and gentleman, because I have seen big changes since I last visited the ISDE, albeit a long time ago. I know that you are doing your best effort in order to keep shiny and sustainable the beautiful region of Navarra.” Said Kattia Hernandez Director of the International Environment yesterday as she introduced the first Ride Green Cup to delegates representing more than 20 nations.
The Ride Green Cup is a trophy introduced by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) in 2014 and is aimed to recognise the efforts made by the teams in the protection of the environment by applying the normal regulations described in the International Environmental Code and also to include the fans engagement in a way to leave a legacy after the event via an overall positive message in favour of the environment.
The first edition of the Ride Green Cup was during the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship and this will be the first time that the contest will be organised during the FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE).
