 The FIM Board of Directors met at the FIM Headquarters in the framework of the 2025 General Assembly and FIM Awards

The Board of Directors met at the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) HQ for the fourth time of the year on 3 December 2025, ahead of the General Assembly, grand opening of the Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM) and FIM Awards ceremony to be held on 5 & 6 December 2025 in Ecublens/Lausanne and Mies (Switzerland).

On this occasion, the Board addressed several topics, in particular the following:

Sport: All disciplines were discussed with a focus on the FIM QuadCross World Championship, the FIM Enduro World Championship, the FIM E-Bike Enduro World Cup, the FIM MotoE World Championship, the FIM Bagger World Cup, as well as the EBK World Cup promotion contracts. Discussions related to the next edition the FIM Intercontinental Games (ICG) were held. The Board approved new and revised classes and categories for FIM World Championships / Prizes. The awarding of a FIM Sporting Trophy was also addressed. 

Finance: The 2025 year-end forecast was shared. The Board agreed on revised administrative grants and subsidies for CONUs. 

Affiliations: Discussions were held related to the expulsions of Korea (KMF) and Paraguay (FEPAM), as well as the affiliation of Korea (FOMS) and Paraguay (FEMOP) - to be submitted for consideration to the General Assembly. The situation of Maldives (RAM) was also addressed. 

Liaison with National Federations (FMN) /Continental Unions (CONU): An update on the FMN/CONU liaison initiatives and activities was shared. 

Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM): A detailed presentation related to transformation works and content of the RMM was given to the Board. The programme of the grand opening of the new Museum, that will take place in the presence of the World Champions, representatives of the Canton de Vaud and of the Commune de Mies, key industry stakeholders, promoters as well as FIM Family members in the framework of the 2025 FIM Awards on 6 December was provided. The first-ever induction ceremony to the FIM Hall of Fame will be held in this context.

Marketing and Digital: Key data on the marketing and digital activations on TrialGP, Flat Track, 6Days and Ice Speedway – disciplines where the FIM is acting as promoter– were presented. The 2025 growth analysis and strategy of FIM-Moto.TV was also provided, as well as relevant information concerning the activations to come in the framework of the FIM year-end events.

Commissions: Mr Eric De Seynes (FFM) was appointed Director of the Commission of Classic Motorcycles (CMC).

Amendments to the Codes: The Board approved amendments to the Statutes and Sporting Code, as well as new calendar and licence fees that will be submitted to the 2025 General Assembly for consideration. Several amendments to the Medical Code, as well as the new FIM Concussion Guidelines – specific to motorcycle sport at all levels and reflecting ongoing scientific research, emerging clinical evidence and best clinical practice to ensure riders receive the highest standards of care for concussion – were also validated by the Board.

International Foundation of Motorcycling (IFM): The agenda of the next meeting of the IFM Board, to take place in Lausanne (Switzerland) on 7 December 2025, was presented and mainly included the approval of the 2026 budget. It was reported that no Beyond Sport IFM Trophy would be awarded in 2025.

FIM General Assemblies and FIM Awards: A progress report on the 2025 and 2026 General Assemblies and FIM Awards to be held on 5 & 6 December 2025 in Ecublens/Lausanne (Switzerland) and on 27 & 28 November 2026 in the Principality of Monaco, respectively, was outlined. 

FIM Commissions Conference: Detailed information related to the 2026 FIM Commissions Conference to be held from 3 to 9 February 2026 in Lyon (France) was given.

The CONU Presidents, Board Committees, Working Groups and Departments of the Administration presented their progress reports on their respective projects.
