The International Foundation for Motorcycling (IFM) Board met in Lausanne (Switzerland) on 7 December 2025 in the framework of the FIM General Assembly, Racing Motorcycle Museum (RMM) inauguration, and FIM Awards.
On this occasion, the Foundation Board addressed several topics, in particular the following:
2025 activities report: The Board was presented with the 2025 activities reports. Initiatives related to women, sustainability, touring and mobility were highlighted, such as the Women’s Speedway and MXGP Academies; the FIM equal gender opportunities guidelines; the cooperation with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the KiSS programme; the CTL Advantage Card as well as the European-wide campaign “Learn-Ride-Enjoy-Repeat” designed to encourage novice and experienced riders to take high-quality motorcycle training on a voluntary basis.
Finance: It was reminded that the 2024 Management Report had been approved by the Board as well as the Swiss Supervisory Authority with no reserve remark. The 2025 year-end forecast was presented and the 2026 budget was unanimously approved.
2026 activities and donations: Discussions related to the activities which will be supported throughout 2026 were held. The Foundation will focus on motorcycling legacy, with the promotion and development of the Racing Motorcycle Museum, which is managed by the IFM. The museum was officiliay inaugurated on 6 December 2025, in the presence of the President of the Council of State of Vaud, Christelle Luisier Brodard, the FIM Board of Directors, the IFM Board Members along with invited dignitaries, the 2025 FIM World Champions and the FIM Family. In addition, the Foundation will encourage the participation of women in the 2026 edition of the FIM International Six Days' Enduro (ISDE) that will take place from 12 to 17 October in Grândola (Portugal) by making financial subsidies available to FIM affiliated National Federations (FMNs) registering women riders for this FIM event. The IFM will credit to FMNs EUR 250 per female rider entry.
Fundraising activities: A detailed presentation related to fundraising initiatives was shared with the Foundation Board. A focus was made on fundraising activition initiatives and projects to strengthen the Foundation’s mission.
Contributors’ Advisory Council: In recognition of their major contribution to motorcycling and to the Foundation, Dorna Sports SL, represented by its CEO, Mr Carmelo Ezpeleta, who attended the meeting, was re-appointed President of the Contributors’ Advisory Council; Infront Moto Racing Group SAM, represented by its CEO, Mr David Luongo, who also attended the meeting, was re-appointed Member of the Council. Appointments last for a one-year period.
