Polish prospect Oskar Paluch gets his first opportunity to take on the world’s top stars over at least five rides after being named as Events.com FIM Speedway GP of Poland – Gorzow wild card.
Paluch, who turns 19 on Saturday, wears the famous No.16 race jacket at the iconic Edward Jancarz Stadium on June 21 – joining Poland’s five-time Speedway GP world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera on track, as well as Stal Gorzow teammates Anders Thomsen, Martin Vaculik and Andzejs Lebedevs.
Winner of the 2021 FIM Speedway Youth World Championship, which was rebranded as SGP3 in 2022, Paluch has established himself as one of Poland’s brightest under-21 prospects. He made his Speedway GP debut in the 2024 Gorzow event, taking two rides as a track reserve.
Paluch is the son of Stal Gorzow legend Piotr Paluch, who raced for the club for 20 years from 1987-2007.
He is joined in the line-up by track reserves Bartlomiej Kowalski and Kevin Malkiewicz, who wear the No.17 and No.18 race jackets respectively. Wroclaw rider Kowalski won the 2023 SGP2 bronze medal in the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship. Meanwhile, Malkiewicz races for Grudziadz in Poland’s PGE Ekstraliga.
