Sofuoglu struggles


FIM Supersport World Championship leader Kenan Sofuoglu struggled down in seventh place in the opening qualifying session at round three of the series in Spain.

The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider recorded a best time of one minute 37.532 seconds at Valencia as Motocard Kawasaki rider Katsuaki Fujiwara went fastest in a time of 1:36.319.

Fujiwara's team-mate Joan Lascorz was second fastest ahead of Michele Pirro on the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda and Parkalgar Honda's Eugene Laverty.

ParkinGO Triumph BE1 trio David Salom, Chaz Davies and Jason DiSalvo were fifth, sixth and ninth respectively.

Sofuoglu was seventh, with Robbin Harms (Harms Benjan Racing Honda) in eighth, DiSalvo ninth and Massimo Roccoli (Intermoto Czech Honda) rounding out the top 10.
