Sidecar Germany – Preview Schleiz

The FIM Sidecar World Championship heads to the stunning rolling countryside of Schleiz, Germany, this weekend.  The circuit of Schleiz is the oldest race track in the country and racing started here in 1923.  It is a road circuit and is known to be very hard on man and machine.

The last round at Sachsenring saw the Birchall Brothers Ben and Tom take a great last lap move over Hock and Becker to take the win and move them to third in the Championship.  Tim Reeves and Ashley Hawes finished in fourth, but they increased their lead in the championship over last years Champions Pekka Paivarinta and Adolf Hanni by 11 points.  Only 3 points separate second to fourth place in the championship, and with two races and full points this weekend, it’s all to play for.
