Sara Trentini – Home Girl

Twenty-five-year-old Sara Trentini – Beta has the weight of the nation resting on her slight frame as she contests the second round of the 2016 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship on home soil today. Trentini is currently the highest ranked Italian rider in the series ahead of the two days of competition in Chiampo. However, Sara who sits eleventh in the general standings, will be hoping for a much better showing than he endured at the opening encounter in Great Britain back in July when she placed tenth and then eleventh.

Trentini made her debut in the series back in 2009, but had to wait until the following year in France before she scored her first point. To date Sara’ highest overall ranking was eighth back in 2013, with her best individual performance coming in Belgium in 2014 when she finished just off the podium in fourth spot. Confirming her pedigree Trentini has won the Italian domestic championship three times as well as having represented her country at the FIM Women’s Trial des Nations on eight occasions.

With many home fans ready to cheer her on this weekend Sara will hoping she can re-find some of her form and feature in the higher places both today and tomorrow.
