Everything is ready for the third appoitment of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship scheduled in Germany, in Sankt Wendel, a regular event for the Supermoto.
A large crowd and the eventful races made it one of the best events of the entire motorcycle world. The city circuit requires high levels of attention when riding and a little bit of madness to defeat the rivals.
The S1GP grid of the third appointment is sold out with 34 riders at the start Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) will join the event holding the red plate of the World Championship leader. The home rider was the victim of a crash in Sardinia which affected him just a little bit is going to impress his home crowd and, knowing his combative spirit, will try to wave the German flag from the highest step of the podium. Young French Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) proved his development in Sardinia, and thanks to the guidance of TM Moto factory team and coach Thomas Chareyre the rider will show what he is capable of with his first pole position and the first moto-victory in the World Championship.
The French is not the only one who will try to take the leadership away from Schmidt. Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing) must recover after a race below his standards and is very performing on city circuits. Let’s not forget Julen Avila Cortes (KTM MTR), currently in fourth position in the standings only 2 points away from second qualified Elia Sammartin (BRT Honda Redmoto). The Italian will try to be back among the protagonists after a quiet start to the Championship.
Not only the S1GP, but also the SM Junior event went sold out with the presence of several riders enrolled in the National Championship who will face the best European riders of the category. Ukrainian Yevsevii Kovalov won five races out of five and will try to be the protagonist of the perfect season, but his rivals are trying to make things tough for the young Husqvarna rider. In Sardinia, Mark Luca Iovita and David Zsolt Bereczki tried to prevail but failed so they will try again in Sankt Wendel.
