Sandra Bonet – Beta will make history today as she becomes the first ever rider from Andorra to compete in the FIM Women’s Trial World Championship. This alone is an amazing feat, but it is an even more incredible feat when you realise that she only competed in his first ever event just three months ago having previously ridden for fun with friends. The thirty-eight year old has spent the last two months training every day, five or six hours a day in readiness for her international debut. Bonet will take her place alongside the other twenty-five female competitors as they face the fearsome task of navigating their way around the steep course that sits high above the town of Sant Julia de Loria on the opening day of the 2013 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship. Speaking about her pending challenge Sandra said. “Right now I feel nervous as the sections are going to be difficult, especially five or six of them. Anyway my objective is to just finish the two days and to learn something from the top riders like Emma Bristow and Sandra Gomez. If I managed to do both of these things I will be very happy.”
