S1GP shows up in Valencia

After the start of the season in Jerez de la Frontera the FIM Supermoto World Championship and the European Supermoto Championship had almost one month off and are now ready for the second Round that will be held always in Spain, in Albaida. It is going be the first time that the track of Albaida hosts a S1GP and everybody is very excited for the response of the fans, as well as the new track with 820 metres of asphalt and 290 metres of offroad.

Albaida is a locality and Spanish municipality placed in the central part of the region of Albaida's Valley, in the province of Valencia, Valencian Community.
 
The Albaida MC organised a lot of races of Comunidad Valenciana Championship and Spanish Championship of Motocross and Minivelocidad.
 
TM Factory Thomas Chareyre left the GP of Spain with the Red Plate on his bike heading the S1GP standings with 50 points. The French was unbeaten in the first Grand Prix of the season and won both heats with great authority so his goal for this week-end is to confirm his leadership.

TM Degasoline Marc Reiner Schmidt had not fantastic qualification in Jerez but on Sunday he had a great performance and he ended in second, now he wants prove to everybody that he is ready to win the Title also in S1GP after have won the European last season.

Other candidates who will be fighting for the top positions are HUSQVARNA Hollbacher Racing Lukas Hollbacher who closed the podium last race and he will do his best to confirm his position and KTM MTR Pavel Kejmar who tested this track in these days and his goal is to repeat his first position as he did in Colombia last year.

Fifth position in World Championship Standings is for APRILIA Fast Wheels Asseri Kingelin followed by the home riders SUZUKI Grau Jose Luis Hernandez  and David Gimenez  who will count with the publics’ support to improve their positions.

Others permanent riders were added from this GP as the Belgian KTM MTR Lionel Deridder and HUSABERG Ignasi Codina Plaza who have recently became fathers and that’s why they were absent at Jerez.

Sixteen riders coming from eight different Countries with the best SM National Champions and six Manufacturers are ready to give their best on Valencian soil.
