Thanks to the victory of the GP of Piemonte German Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) won the World Championship with one race to go, bringing to five the number of World titles achieved. Thrilling victory for Matteo Andreotti (L30 Racing) in the Rookies Cup in his very first appearance in the World Championship.
S1GP Fast Race
Marc Reiner Schmidt (Team 11) struggled at the start of the S1GP Fast Race so Steve Bonnal (TSV Racing Factory Team TM Corse) took the lead in the first corner but his leadership only lasted half a lap. Ther German rider moved back to the front thanks to a phenomenal maneuver and set a furious pace which allowed him to gain a solid advantage. Bonnal settled in second place, while Lukas Hollbacher (Schruf Racing) crashed in the warmup, so he could not be incisive and also had to watch out from Milan Sitniansky (Honda) to keep third place. Young Matteo Andreotti (L30 Racing) was the author of an excellent performance and moved close to the top riders thanks to a great start. The young Italian rider was sixth overall and was also the best rider of the Rookies Cup.

Marc Reiner Schmidt had no rivals in Busca and thanks to another outstanding performance ruled from the first corner to the checkered flag. At the start of the race several riders were involved in a group crash in the first corner, but all walked away uninjured. Schmidt took the lead, chased by Milan Sitniansky, second, and Lukas Hollbacher, third. Steve Bonnal lost some spots at the start and suffered a mechanical problem which caused him to lose ground, but the French rider managed to work his way up till fourth position. A tough battle for the second spot took place and only thanks to the Joker Lane Lukas Hollbacher won his personal challenge against Milan Sitniansky. At the finish line Marc Reiner Schmidt raised his arms to the sky clinching the GP victory as well as the World Championship title with one race to go. The German rider was joined on the podium at the end of the racing day by Lukas Hollbacher and Steve Bonnal second and third qualified respectively. Matteo Andreotti took the victory in the Rookies Cup in his first appearance in the World Championship.
