After having spent most of the year on the wrong side of the Atlantic, tomorrow will see the gutsy American duo of Bryan Roper – Sherco and Andrew Putt - Sherco have the chance to compete back on home soil as the 2015 FIM Trial World Championship visits Stepping Stones, USA for round seven of the current series. Roper and Putt's presence on the 2015 campaign has been warmly welcomed by their European counterparts, with no one in the paddock doubting the difficulty of competing on a regular basis so far from home.
Roper who coincidently celebrates his twenty-second birthday today made his debut in the series at the US Grand Prix in Sequatchie back in 2013, which was the last time that America hosted a round of the FIM Trial World Championship. On that occasion Bryan finished fourteenth to pick up his first GP points. This season Roper has scored points four further times with his best results, two thirteenth places, coming in Sweden and Andorra.
Roper’s younger travelling buddy and compatriot Putt, who will turn just seventeen next week is definitely another name to watch out for in the future with the teenager having gained great experience in his first full season away from home. Putt made his debut at the closing round of the 2014 campaign in Spain, although he had to wait until the latest GP in Andorra earlier this month to score his first championship points when he placed fourteenth.
Both of these American riders, who will be joined by no less than fourteen fellow US challengers this weekend, will be hoping to maximise on their home support and deliver the best results to date over the next two days of competition.
