This year, Wissam Al Jayyoussi will traverse the globe twice on his motorbike. Taking the horizontal path starting from and ending in Dubai – the X-axis and then the vertical one, starting from Alaska and ending in Argentina – the Y-axis. Wissam will complete the journey in 15 months to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged kids in the Middle East.
This is the third installment in an adventure called The Goodwill Journey, where Wissam rides his bike from Dubai on long, rigourous routes through six continents of the world to raise awareness and funds.
Wissam is a citizen of the world, who started the journey in 2010 when he rode through 36 countries from Dubai to London. In 2013, his second trip, took him from Dubai to Singapore through the Silk Road. Since then, his ideas have been getting larger and more ambitious, so, it was only a matter of time before he decided to travel around the whole world.
In March 2015, he will travel through 100 countries and over a total of 120,000 kms on a journey in which he will face extreme weather, different environments and unknown challenges that even he cannot prepare for.
Wissam is riding for the hundreds of thousands of sick and underprivelged children in the Middle East out of his own pocket.
None of the money donated goes towards Wissam or any journey related expenses.
He is working with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) where his ultimate goal is to raise funds for the building of children’s hospitals and for medical missions across the entire Middle East region.
