On the fringe of the French Grand Prix, FIM Environmental Ambassador Randy de Puniet visited the Pierre Ronsard primary school to talk with some fifty pupils about “motor sport and the environment”.
The teachers and children, who were particularly aware of environmental issues, had prepared lots of questions for Randy who performed his first school assignment with flying colours!
During the meeting, he presented the video clip that will be projected on the giant screens around the circuit. It is a video message in which he encourages the public to respect the circuit and to behave in an environmentally responsible manner during the race weekend. You can see the video by clicking HERE.
After the visit, Randy expressed his satisfaction: “This meeting was really very friendly and spontaneous. The children were already aware about environmental issues and had done some research, so they asked very relevant questions. The great thing is that kids ask spontaneous questions without thinking too much. That was really cool. I am really happy to be able to use the fact that people know me to be able to pass on environmental messages to children but also to the public. I’d love to repeat the experience another time!”
