The FIM International Medical Commission has changed its slogan from "Ride Clean" to “Ride True”.
Why? The word "TRUE" is more appropriate, as the FIM Anti-Doping campaign is about more than substances: “TRUE” is also about fairness, honesty, integrity, wellbeing and respect for oneself and others.
The term "True" better reflects these ideas while also alluding to the spirit of fair sport, whereas "Clean" is more specific to the use of prohibited and potentially harmful substances. "Clean" is also commonly used for "Green" regarding the Environmental issue.
The new slogan “Ride True” is now aligned with “Play True” and “Race True”, the anti-doping programs of the World Anti-doping Agency and FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile).
