Last year the French Trial GP marked the finale of the series, however this time around the 2014 FIM Trial World Championship has one more stop before the title can be decided. Isola 2000, a ski resort in the southern Alps, hosted the 2013 French encounter which was an enthralling episode as Adam Raga – Gas Gas won the opening day to make the eventual champion Toni Bou – Repsol Honda wait twenty-four hours before he claimed his latest FIM prize.
Raga has a good record of results on French soil and will look to exploit this fact today as he looks to close the gap on Bou in the current title fight. Adam’s first victory in France was in Valdeblore back in 2004 and was to mark the start of a winning run that has stretched over the past decade. Raga has also won twice in Ales (2005), once in Maisse (2008), on single occasions in Breal Sous Monfort (2011) and La Bresse (2012) and no less than three times at Isola 2000.
With very similar terrain to Isola 2000, Adam will be hoping that that La Mongie, another French ski resort, becomes another happy hunting ground for the Gas Gas teamster today.
