Raga rewarded in Japan

Adam Raga - Gas Gas was one of the leading and strongest voices in terms of supporting the rescheduled Japanese Trial Grand Prix. The twenty-nine year old Spanish rider was richly rewarded during his visit to Motegi with an important victory on day two of the event. Raga’s third victory of the 2011 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship now leaves him with an outside chance of stealing the title from series leader Toni Bou - Repsol Montesa at the final round in France in two weeks time.

Raga was realistic about his current position. “We’ll see. The thing is if I could have won both days in Japan then the gap would only be ten points. Now it’s thirteen points, with two counting days to go, so it’s quite a lot. Anyway, Toni has to make sure he does not have a crash, or not to break the bike, and these things do not let you sleep very well. But from his side, for sure he is hoping nothing like that happens. From my side, I will try to win both days in France and to keep up the pressure right to the end. So let’s see what happens.”
