Busca (Italy) 11 June 2016 – At the international Kart Planet circuit the third Round of the S1GP and S2 Championship is held this weekend. Spectators already found their way to the track on Saturday and enjoyed the training sessions in cloudy but good weather conditions. In S1GP it was the French World Champion and current leader Thomas Chareyre who set the fastest time in the Superchrono. In S2 it was Italian rider Diego Monticelli who was the fastest on his TM.
S1GP
In the first free practice of the S1GP class in Busca, it was KTM MTR rider Pavel Kejmar who set the fastest time in lap 6. With 1.19.185 the Czech rider was not more than 0.197 seconds faster as Degasoline TM Racing rider Marc-Reiner Schmidt who set the 2nd time. In 3rd it was TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre who set his time in the very last lap. In free practice number 2 it was again Pavel Kejmar who set the pace with a lap time of 1.18.684 in lap 11. Although he was faster than in the first practice, Thomas Chareyre closed the gap to almost nothing. Only 0.0042 seconds was the difference between the two riders. In 3rd place it was Marc-Reiner Schmidt on his TM.
Pavel Kejmar showed that he was enjoying the race track because in the time practice it was again the Czech KTM MTR rider who was fastest before Thomas Chareyre and Marc-Reiner Schmidt. The top 4 only did 5 laps during this session, clearly saving the best for the SuperChrono session.
In the SuperChrono session the best 6 riders of the time practice in the S1GP class started for this 10 minute timed session. This time it was French TM Factory Racing rider Thomas Chareyre who set the fastest time of 1.18.092 in lap 5. KTM MTR rider Pavel Kejmar was giving all he had and set his best time in lap 2. Kejmar’s time was good for second position on 0.364 seconds behind Thomas Chareyre. Degasoline TM Racing rider Marc-Reiner Schmidt was trying as hard as he could but it was not enough to close the gap resulting in a third place in the SuperChrono.

The first two races of the S2 European Championship showed already that the two Czech riders, Suzuki Grau rider Petr Vorlicek and Honda rider Milan Sitniansky, are very strong this year. In absence of Giovanni Bussei this was their chance to do good business in the Championship. In the first free practice in Busca it was Honda rider Milan Sitniansky who set the fastest time in lap 19. Just 00.135 seconds behind Sitniansky it was Suzuki Grau rider Petr Vorlicek who set the second time before Gazza Honda Racing rider Devon Vermeulen for who it was his first race in the S2 class of this season.
In the second Free Practice Petr Vorlicek showed why he was the current championship leader. In 1.20.188 on lap 12, the Czech rider he set the fastest time. This time it was TM Factory Racing rider Diego Monticelli who finished this session in second place on 00.416 seconds. It third place it was again Dutch rider Devon Vermeulen on his Gazza Racing Honda.
Diego Monticelli felt more and more comfortable on the race track and in the time practice he was the fastest rider on the circuit. Monticelli on fast TM set his fastest lap in lap 11 with a gap of 00.254 seconds to 2nd rider Petr Vorlicek on his Suzuki. The first start row is completed by Italian Gazza Honda rider Lorenzo Promutico who set the 3rd time.
