Peñarroya- Pueblonuevo hosts its maiden Trial GP

The small Spanish city of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo will host its first ever FIM Trial World Championship Grand Prix this weekend. The quiet former mining town, which has a modest resident population of around 12,000, has been transformed into a hive of activity as Trial teams and fans prepare to descended on the area to enjoy the fourth round of the 2012 season. Peñarroya- Pueblonuevo is located in the southern Spanish province of Corboda, which shares its most southern borders with Malaga and Granada. The FIM Trial World Championship traditionally visits a different Spanish city or town each year. Last year the Spanish Trial Grand Prix was held in Pobladura de las Regueras in northern Spain. The Moto Club La Afición Club will host this year's Spanish Trial GP in Peñarroya- Pueblonuevo. The Club has organised numerous prestigious national and international Trial events in rural Peñarroya- Pueblonuevo, and is excited to be hosting its maiden FIM Trial World Championship event. The Club has created a new course in and around Peñarroya- Pueblonuevo, built especially for the city's first Trial GP. Riders will complete two laps of the challenging five-kilometre course, through the region's forests, on both days of the event. Spectators can also watch the action from the comfort of a brand new sports facility that has been built close to the paddock.
