Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa has been forced to withdraw from the remainder of the Sepang test after suffering pain from a knee injury.
The Spaniard completed two days of testing at the Malaysian track but was restricted to short runs suffering problems with his left knee just two months after having surgery on the problem.
Pedrosa nevertheless posted the fourth-quickest time in today's session which was topped by Ducati's Casey Stoner, but with his Honda team set to focus on longer runs on Saturday, the 23-year-old has elected to return home.
