Pas de la Casa next location of FIM SuperMoto World Championship

After visiting the beautiful countries of Italy and Bulgaria, this weekend the 2011 FIM SuperMoto World Championship and UEM SuperMoto European Championship will hit Andorra, where fans will fill up the paddock of the Pas de la Casa circuit on Saturday and Sunday July 2nd and 3rd.

The coming weekend will be a decisive date for Superiders who will face the third Grand Prix of the breathtaking 2011 campaign. It will be a very delicate moment as it will represent the mid season appointment, so front runners will have to play their cards right to strengthen their positions in the Championship standings and they will do their best to open up unassailable gaps over pursuers.

Nothing is decided yet and each GP was featured by exciting battles and unexpected twists in the standings. Taking an overlook at the situation so far, after classifying in 2nd at the Italian GP, Finnish Mauno Hermunen of the Factory Husqvarna Team rode his bike till the first step of the Bulgarian podium and stole the red plate to defending World Champion, TM Factory Racing French Thomas Chareyre. The latter lost the leadership he grasped at the opening round, where he clinched the overall victory, as he finished in fourth in Pleven but we will definitely see him arriving in Pas de la Casa seeking the revenge. The HM Honda Racing ace, Ivan Lazzarini, is detaining the third spot courtesy of two great third positions taken in Busca and Pleven and is chased by Fast Wheels ASD Adrien Chareyre, who was seventh in Italy and second in Bulgaria. The PMR H2O Team challenger Thierry Van Den Bosch is fifth, while the KTM 747 Motorsport youngest member, Alexis Marie Luce, is occupying the sixth position followed by team mate and veteran Davide Gozzini. The eighth position belongs to Christian Ravaglia and the Suzuki Valenti Lux Performance Team, while defending SuperMoto European Champion of the TDS Faor Team, Uros Nastran, is in ninth chased by SHR Racing Matthew Winstanley.

Andorra and its citizens are proud to host again the SuperMoto show after one year of absence, as the last GP disputed in the Principality was in 2009. In that occasion the riders who secured the podium were once again astonishing Thomas Chareyre and Mauno Hermunen, joined by third classified Thierry Van Den Bosch. The Grand Prix of Andorra background will be amazing. The 980 meters circuit of Pas de la Casa is surrounded by the Pyrenees and lies 2408 meters above sea level so it is possible enjoying some of the most beautiful landscapes of the area.

Everything could happen the coming weekend at Pas de la Casa, who knows if the layout of the podium will be the same as 2009 or it will change?
