Paivarinta and Hanni Dominate to win Championship

As the lights went out, Kurt Hock and Enrico Becker, Hock Racing, LCR Suzuki got a flying start into the first complex of corners followed by Pekka Paivarinta and Adolf Hanni, Team Suzuki Finland,LCR Suzuki, the Birchall Brothers Ben and Tom were right with them on their Mitchells of Mansfield, LCR Yamaha, Jakob Rutz and Ueli Wafler, Racing Team Rutz, LCR Yamaha fourth with Scott Lawrie and James Neave, Lucky 2 Racing, LCR Suzuki pushing them in fifth. Tim Reeves and Gregory Cluze, Tim Reeves Racing, Lcr Honda got a better start and was up mid pack by the end of lap one. As the race progressed Paivarinta and Hanni followed by the Birchall Brothers got passed Hock and Becker and started to make a good cushion between themselves and Hock/Becker, Reeves and Cluze by this time were up into fourth followed by Lawrie and Neave who were starting to have some issues with their machine, they too were getting caught by the “New Kids on the Block” Ben Bygrave and Calum Lawson, Bygrave Racing, LCR Suzuki, unfortunately they were to DNF with three laps to go with mechanical problems. Giving Lawrie and Neave some breathing space as their machine was getting worse, but they kept their fifth place as they crossed the line behind Reeves and Cluze in fourth. The top three teams were all pleased with their performances over the weekend although the weather was a big factor for the Birchall Brothers Ben and Tom who had never raced here before, but they are pleased with their performance over the weekend and are looking forward to the last round in Le Mans, France, Kurt Hock and Enrico Becker were a bit disappointed with the problem they had in the sprint race, but overall pleased with the weekend. Pekka Paivarinta and Adolf Hanni are overjoyed with their weekend, for Adolf it took 27 years for him to win a World Championship, and now he has won two in a row, Pekka could not praise Adolf enough saying, “he is great, he dose not need to think if Adolf is okay on the bike as he is always where he needs to be, great team work” The racing at Oschersleben over the weekend was held with the “Second International Sidecar Festival” and there was a show of all the racing machines, modern and old on the starting grid on Saturday evening. 2011 FIM Sidecar World Championship Classification.
