The second international sidecar festival will bring all kinds of sidecars to the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from 27. to 28. August. The highlight will of course be the 2011 FIM Sidecar World Championship Round 4 with a sprint and a gold race. Besides the elite of the three-wheelers, there will be even more interesting series to attend. The Classic Sidecar Cup, an Interrace for F1, F2 and F3-Sidecars, a constancy run and a demo drive of many former sidecar-heroes are also part of the schedule.
In Oschersleben, the reigning World Champions, Pekka Päivärinta and Adolf Hänni, can already defend their title with one event still to come. Of course, their opponents, Birchall/Birchall and Hock/Becker are willing to give their best to avoid this.
Some former GP-pilots and World Champions are also part of the weekend. Rolf Steinhausen and Steve Abbott are only some famous names of many more.
Some legendary machines can also be watched on the 3.667 metre long circuit. The former Biland Rothmanns LCR Krauser, the König 500 and also the URS 500 of Helmut Fath. On Saturday evening, the organizers proclaimed a group picture of all sidecars on the start/finish-straight, which will mean more than 120 sidecars at one place!
