The FIM Trial World Championship will make its fifth visit to Nord Vue this weekend for the British Trial GP, which marks round four of the current series. A little less than twelve months ago the same hill top location was the scene of yet another dominant performance by Toni Bou – Repsol Honda as he notched two more wins on route to sealing a record breaking eighth outdoor crown.
A quick glance at the 2014 results will make worrying reading for his opponents. Bou’s winning margin on day one was a massive thirty-one marks, whilst on day two the damage was limited to a more acceptable fifteen marks. On both days Bou was followed home by Adam Raga – Gas Gas, who as yet to register a win at Nord Vue.
Now World Pro rookies Jaime Busto – Repsol Honda and Franz Kadlec – Beta shared a win apiece in the FIM World Cup class at the 2014 British Trial GP. With this young duo having moved up a class, Quentin Carles de Caudemberg – Beta is the highest ranked rider from last year’s battle on English soil who remains within the FIM World Cup division.
France’s Gael Chatagno – Sherco won both days in the FIM 125 Trial Cup at Nord Vue last time around, but with him and many others having now moved up a class, it will be a new face and name that stands on top of the 125cc podium this weekend.
