The Repsol rider won at the Czech Republic and gathered his tenth consecutive continental title
Unbeaten since 2002, Laia Sanz won today his tenth consecutive European World Championship after gathering her third victory in the third and last round of the series. The Repsol Montesa Honda rider finished again with zero penalties in the round held in Tanvald, in the Czech Republic, that tomorrow will be the scene of the second round of the World Championship, where the Repsol rider could conquer her eleventh World title.
After his victory seven days ago in Germany, Laia Sanz only needed to finish today in fourth position at the third round of the Trial European Championship, last of the series, at the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, the Repsol rider showed again her authority and won the round without taking a single penalty during the day. With this victory, Laia Sanz gets has now tent European Championship titles in her impressive track record, that she will try to further increase tomorrow with another World Championship title. Laia Sanz has spent twenty years on a motorbike and his extensive track record shows it. She had her first contact with the two wheels at four near her house in Corbera de Llobregat (Barcelona). From that moment on she decided to focus all her energy in a sport where nearly all riders were men, although at twelve she had already taken her first victory, which quickly attracted the attention of fans and experts of this sport. Laia Sanz : "It is very satisfactory to win the title once more, as to achieve that feat ten years in a row is very difficult. During this time my rivals have changed, some of the riders that competed here when I won for the first time are gone and some others arrived, and I kept working to achieve the aim to improve all the time. It was a nearly perfect championship. I say nearly thinking about the five-point penalty I received in the last round, which in my opinion was dubious, and without them I would have finished the championship with zero points". Results 1.
