Tomorrow will see the start of the 2011 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Kotka, Finland with this being the eighty-sixth edition of this unique and incredible inter country competition. Whilst the ISDE remains the oldest and longest standing annual event in the FIM calendar across all disciplines, today it enjoys the benefits of the modern World with extensive TV coverage across the globe. For those fans who cannot be present in Finland over the coming days, the FIM has ensured that they will still be able to be a part of the action with the event being broadcast to over fifty different countries, which represents a major increase in coverage when compared to last year and is the widest outreach the ISDE has ever enjoyed. This global distribution will provide increased and incredible visibility for the riders, the teams and all their associated sponsors whilst also helping to raise the profile of the event and motorcycle sport in general. Coverage will be provided by the following broadcaster in the respective countries. ESPN (Brazil),TV Meridiano (Venezuela), Sport TV (Portugal), Fox Sports (Australia), Sport 5 (Czech Republic), Sport 1 (Germany), Viasat (Sweden) and Sportklub (Hungary). In addition to these Eurosport 2 will distribute the resulting programme to no less than forty-six countries throughout all regions of Europe. This includes Greece, Cyprus and Italy in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean countries, France, Germany and the UK in Western and Northern Europe plus Poland, Russia and Bulgaria in Central and Eastern Europe and other countries. Since its launch in 2005 Eurosport 2 is the fastest growing pan European channel (EMS Survey summer 2008) and is now available in over thirty-four million households and in eleven different languages. These languages include English, French, German, Italian and Russian with a household penetration of forty percent and over in certain countries. In addition to this FIM-TV.com will provide twelve minutes of coverage on a daily basis that will include the best action highlights and key riders interviews at the end of each day. Speaking about this important advance in TV coverage Olivier Godallier, FIM Marketing and Communications Director said. "We are obviously delighted with the increased TV coverage we have been able to achieve this year, as this shows the great interest there is in the FIM International Six Days Enduro across a wide range of countries. The ISDE remains a very important event for the FIM so it was a priority for us to ensure that it got the TV coverage that it deserves." "FIM TV / Interzona Productions are a trusted supplier, who are also responsible for the TV programmes associated with both the SPEA FIM Trial World Championship and the QTEL FIM Endurance World Championship. So we are extremely confident with their extensive team on the ground here in Finland that they will be able to capture all the action, which will then be delivered to millions of households around the World in the coming days."
