Saturday at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya was a big news day! At just past midday local time, it was announced that current Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider – and nine-time World Champion – Valentino Rossi would be racing on in 2021.
The number 46 has signed a one-year contract extension with Yamaha Motor Racing and will be riding in the Petronas Yamaha SRT team next season.
Later in the day and fresh from taking his first front row of the year, Rossi then sat down for a special Press Conference following the announcement, joined by Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis.
