Meet Max Faude

Seventeen-year-old Max Faude – Beta had to wait until yesterday’s closing day of the Andorran Grand Prix, which marked round four of the 2016 FIM Trial World Championship, to finally climb to the top step of the podium in the Trial125 class.

The ever smiling young German rider having eventually having got the better of his main championship rival Jack Peace – Gas Gas who has been the dominant force over the opening eight counting days to date. Peace has won five days thus far, Germany’s Jarmo Robrahn – Beta two – his pair of victories coming when he dropped down a class at his home GP - and now Faude also has one win to his name.

Despite being one of the tallest riders in the Trial125 class, which is hardly an advantage on a small capacity bike, Max has proved himself to be highly able in this his debut season competing at this level. One win, five runners up berths and two third places in the 2016 series so far sees Faude trail championship leader Peace by sixteen points with four rounds and eight counting days still remaining.

The likeable German rookie will look to impose himself further on the Trial125 title race as the battleground shifts to France this coming weekend.
