Meet Estonia’s Keity Meier

Twenty year old Keity Meier has been a welcomed face as part of the 2015 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship with Sherco rider putting Estonia firmly on the map as she became the first ever female protagonist from this Eastern European country to compete in the series.

Keity made her Trial GP debut at the opening round of this year’s campaign in Sokolov, Czech Republic where she placed twenty-third. With a taste of competing at the highest level Meier then made her second outing in the series last weekend in Teo, Spain where she recorded improved results of 14 – 19 respectively over the two days of competition.

Meier rounded out the 2015 FIM Women’s Trial World Championship yesterday in L'Hospitalet de l’Infant, Spain with another top twenty finish to end what has been a ground-breaking year for the young Estonian female rider. With a large smile on her face at the finish Keity said.

“I have really enjoyed the sections today. It has been an incredible experience, as we do not have this type of land in Estonia. When I saw the sections in the riverbed I was amazed as I have never see anything like this before. My goal was to be inside the World Championship, so now I have done it I hope I can be back here again next year if I can find enough support.”
