Marc Marquez arrives at Mugello

The sixth round of the MotoGP World Championship begins with new challenges on the horizon for the Repsol Honda team. Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa visit the famous Mugello circuit this weekend, where the former has the chance to continue rewriting the MotoGP history books and the latter can make up ground lost at Le Mans last time out. Alex Rins and Alex Marquez will once again be at a new track for their Honda machines, with the aim of returning to the Moto3 podium.

After becoming the youngest rider in history to win five consecutive premier class races, Marc Marquez has the chance to extend his extraordinary run at Mugello. For Dani Pedrosa, the Italian GP is an opportunity to recover the podium form that he had established at the opening four races.

With a second consecutive podium of the year, Alex Rins was at his best in France in the Moto3 class. Teammate Alex Marquez had a series of issues at the most recent meeting, and at Mugello will aim for a return to the level that earned him second place finishes in Qatar and Argentina.

Marc Marquez:

"Le Mans was a great weekend for us and although it may look easy from the outside, it is a result of a lot hard work with the team over the weekend to set the bike up. Mugello is a tricky circuit ‒one of the hardest on the calendar‒ and we struggled a lot last year. I had many crashes over the weekend and then crashed out of the race also. Now I have an extra year’s experience and I hope it will go more smoothly for us! I know that Valentino will be very strong at his ‘home’ race, Jorge has won there for the past three years and Dani is also very fast there, so we will need to stay focused and if we cannot challenge for the win then we must take important points for the Championship."
