Lorenzo joins COTA’s Garden of Champions

:Last year, Circuit of the Americas inaugurated the Garden of Champions in the framework of the KiSS COTA initiatives. Today, FIM MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo was invited to plant a Mexican White Oak tree with his name in this garden.

The KiSS COTA is part of the FIM Ride Green campaign driven by FIM and supported by DORNA. The objective of this garden is to pay tribute to the MotoGP champions every year and raise awareness amongst the motorcycling community about the environmental crisis and promote the KISS programme.

Students from Texas State University are volunteering at COTA this weekend, spreading sustainable messages and asking fans to write their environmental commitment on a leaf which may be attached to the tree of pledges.

This year, the Circuit of the Americas is encouraging all fans to share a ride to the event, in an effort to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions.
