Ladies from down under stay on top

Of all the teams competing in this year’s FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Kosice, Slovakia it is Australia’s Women’s World Trophy team that is expected to do the business. And so far Tayla Jones – Yamaha, Jessica Gardiner – Sherco and Jemma Wilson – Yamaha are doing exactly that.

Experienced, determined and once again setting a pace no other team can match, the Australian female trio are already more than fifteen minutes ahead of their closest rivals France. Winning both days one and two, while there is still a long way to go before the end of the ninetieth running of the ISDE Australia’s women are certainly the team to beat.

“So far things have been going great,” confirmed Jessica Gardiner at the close of the second day’s competition. “At the moment none of us have had any problems and Tayla is just smashing it, she’s really riding well. We know there are four tough days ahead of us, but we’re enjoying the race and looking forward to the new track on days four and five.”

France hold an eleven minute advantage over third placed Sweden. With two days of racing complete Australia head into the mid-way point of the race looking to extend their already impressive advantage.
