Kyle Middleton ready for maiden home Trial GP

Twenty-two-year-old Kyle Middleton will be among the Australian riders competing in the Junior category of country's first ever FIM Trial World Championship round this weekend. The two-day Australian GP will also be Middleton's first outing with his new sponsor, Jitsie.

Speaking earlier this week, Kyle Middleton commented: "The excitement surrounding the Australian Trial GP is unexplainable," Middleton commented. "The entire Australian Trial community is buzzing! Most of Australian trials riders have never seen a World Pro class Trial rider. I am regularly asked 'What are they like?' 'What can they really do?' and 'Are their bikes that special?' Well soon all their questions will be answered.

"Young Australian up and coming Trial riders are really disadvantaged because they don't have the exposure to Trial at its highest level, so this event is the step forward we have all been waiting for!"

Kyle has competed in a number of European FIM Trial World Championship rounds since 2008. He is also on the Australian Trial des Nations team, which earned a respectable fourth place in the International Trophy division, at the event held in Italy last year. However Kyle has higher hopes this time around.

"This is the first time I will be competing at a World level event on my own bike. I will also for the first time have access to tools and parts, but above all I will have my home crowd behind me, this is just so exiting," he added.

Middleton is a podium regular in local and national Trial events, and hopes that all the advantages associated with competing on home soil this weekend will spur him on to achieve his best ever international result.
