Krzysztof Kasprzak back in SGP as MIB Nordic Gorzow FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland wild card.
Former world No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak returns to the sport’s top stage as wild card for the MIB Nordic Gorzow FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland on August 26. The Gorzow and Rye House star lines up in the famous No.16 race jacket alongside local hero Bartosz Zmarzlik, plus World Championship contenders Maciej Janowski and Patryk Dudek. Piotr Pawlicki completes the Polish five. Kasprzak joined forces with Poland’s SGP quartet to lift the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup in Manchester last summer – his fifth gold medal in the competition.
The 2005 FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship winner also finished second in the 2014 FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, triumphing in the rounds at Bydgoszcz, Daugavpils and Torun along the way.
The 33-year-old raced in last year’s MIB Nordic Gorzow SGP of Poland, scoring seven points as he just fell short of the semi-finals. This year’s Gorzow field is completed by track reserves Kacper Woryna and Oskar Polis, who line up at No.17 and No.18 respectively.
