Eighteen-year-old Franz Kadlec – Beta has certainly made his mark on the 2015 FIM Trial World Championship during what is his rookie season in the World Pro class. The young German rider has quietly gone about his business in his unique way, but is already being tipped by some in the paddock as one of Trial’s bright future prospects. Kadlec finished as runner-up to fellow World Pro rookie Jamie Busto – Repsol Honda in last year’s FIM Trial World Cup campaign as the two emerging talents enjoyed a season long duel that eventually ended in the Spanish rider’s favour.
Rather than spend another year in the FIM Trial World Cup division in an attempt to capture this title, Franz made the brave and selfless decision to step up to the premier class and to do battle against the World’s best and established stars in 2015. Kadlec’s move has proved to be a successful one so far with the youngster currently holding tenth in the general standings in his maiden campaign at this elevated level. The Beta supported rider’s best result came at the second round in the Czech Republic when he placed an excellent seventh on day two. With only a few points separating himself from the riders either side of him in the championship table Kadlec will be hoping for a strong showing in Portugal this weekend in order to maintain his current and deserved ranking.
