Twenty-seven year old Jeroni Fajardo - Beta has propelled himself back into the sharp end of the competition with two runners up spots during the last two counting days of the 2012 FIM Trial World Championship. His second place on day one of this weekend's Trial GP in Japan has now moved Fajardo into second place in this year's title race.
"I am very happy again today, as it is a good result on a difficult day. I say difficult because I started very close to the front of the top group with only Loris (Gubian) to follow. In this situation it is hard to have any reference from watching the other top riders. Anyway I had a good level of confidence and concentrated very well to leave me in a good position for the second lap." "Again I felt very confident and managed to close in a good way to take second place. The sections were a little easy, as they expected rain, but you could still make mistakes. Tomorrow there should be rain, and then we will have a really difficult Trial, but I am prepared for that, and want to continue in the same way as today."
