Two times FIM Motocross World Champion Jean-Michel Bayle’s familiar face could be seen amongst the many fans as he watched on at the third round of the 2014 FIM Trial World Championship on the island of Corsica yesterday.
Bayle who took the 125cc MX title in 1988 and then the 250cc crown a year later in 1989, before eventually moving onto GP road racing is a passionate follower and rider of the more slow speed discipline of Trial, as he was keen to explain whilst he watched the action unfold on the small French isle.
JMB said. “I started with Trial when I was very young, and the organiser of this event is a good friend of mine for many years, so when he told me that the FIM Trial World Championship was coming here I told him that I would be there.”
“Even today I am still riding Trial and I am still enjoying a lot, I have a Honda and like with the motocross nowadays I am riding both just for fun.”
The double French MX World Champion rounded off by saying. “What I saw today was really great, the show was nice to watch, I saw the best guys in the World riding. I enjoyed just watching them here in Corsica which is such a nice place and just so perfect for Trial.”
