Is NAMBOTIN vulnerable ?

While the month of April is full of National Championships, let’s have a quick view class by class of the South American tour. To finish let’s have a look to the E3 class…

Up

By scoring their first podiums in Argentina, Luis CORREIA (P – Beta) and Manuel MONNI (I – KTM) are the two good surprise of the category. And if they can add more regularity in their speed, we will see them more often in the podium…

On another level, Deny PHILLIPAERTS (I – Beta) is now ranked on a place that nobody predicted (8th).

Stable

Christophe NAMBOTIN (F – KTM), injured three weeks before the first Grand Prix, is still the man to beat but seems more vulnerable than in 2012.

Joakim LJUNGGREN (S – Husaberg) is still on his way and has scored his second victory in Grand Prix after the one earned in Ostersund in 2008!

Aigar LEOK (EST - TM) has also clinched his 2nd win but made big mistakes on Sunday in Chile.

Rodrig THAIN (F – Gas Gas) was already in the Top 3 but a shoulder injury will have to force him to go to surgery. We will see him back on a bike only in France!

Marcus KEHR (D – KTM), after a difficult season, seems to be back in the fight for the Top 5 and still remains the only German rider at International level.

Down

We were waiting for more from Benoit FORTUNATO (F – HM Honda) and Christophe ROBERT (CH – Husaberg) after a good 2012 season.

Same thing for Fabien PLANET (F – Sherco). Coming from the E1 class, the Sherco rider has waited a lot of time his bike in Chile and had bad settings in Argentina.

Marko TARKKALA (S – Honda) didn’t recover enough from his wrist injury and had a lot of difficulties.

Those riders will have to wake up for the next Grand Prix AMV Seguros of Spain, or they will disappear in the peloton!
