In-form Dabrowski wins final round of the FIM Bajas World Cup in Dubai

Dubai hosted the final round of the 2025 FIM Bajas World Cup and Konrad Dabrowski and Abdulaziz Ahli celebrated their respective victories in the motorcycle and quad categories.

Champions were also crowned in all categories with Mohammed Al-Balooshi taking the FIM Baja World Cup title for the fourth time in the motorcycle category and Hani Al-Noumesi earning overall quad success.

After his victory in Qatar, Dabrowski (KTM) was determined to repeat his success in Dubai. Winner of the Prologue on Friday, the young Pole chose to start 10th, the last position available to him. But, in Dubai, the Baja takes place in the sand and dunes - it is favourable to start as far back as possible to take advantage of the lines in the sand...

On Saturday, at the finish of the opening 193km special stage, Briton Alex McInnes (Husqvarna) was the fastest, ahead of Mohammed Al-Balooshi (Yamaha) - who complained of having suffered from cramps - and third-placed Konrad Dabrowski.

The Pole said: “The start was delayed and we arrived in the dunes shortly before noon when the sun is high and visibility is very poor. I had overtaken some riders who started ahead of me, but those who managed to start far back were easily able to catch up with me…

On Sunday, Dabrowski set the record straight and won the special to claim victory in the Dubai International Baja by 34.2 seconds from McInnes. Al-Balooshi was third, 4min 24.5sec behind and ahead of Doveze (19min 50sec), Lanjawi (20min 35sec) and Dabrowski’s Team Duust teammate Lepan (25min 46.1sec).

In the quad category, Abdulaziz Ahli won by 15min 30sec from Marcin Wilkolek and was 1hr 58min 29.4sec ahead of Al-Noumesi.

Polish rider Joanna Modrzewska won the Women’s category by, finishing 1hr 53min 44.5sec ahead of Alona Ben Natan and 3hr 13min 25.9sec in front of the Lithuanian Raimonda Biguzaite.

Dabrowski also took the Junior category victory ahead of McInnes and Karo, while in the Veterans category, Al-Balooshi triumphed over Rafic Eid.

Following the Dubai International Baja awards ceremony, FIM medals were awarded to the winners of the 2025 FIM Bajas World Cup. It was another great honour for Dubai's Al-Balooshi, who retained his title and also won the Veteran category ahead of his teammate Rafic Eid. Al-Balooshi said, “All went well, no penalties for the Dubai Baja and I finished third overall. I'm happy to be crowned Baja World Cup winner in my home country. I tried to give my all, but then I saw it was a little bit risky to ride a little bit out of my comfort zone. So, I settled for third.

In the quad category, Al-Noumesi also retained his crown with 97 points. Dabrowski was once again Junior champion with 75 points and McInnes second with 65.

Alona Ben Natan topped the Women's category with 78 points, ahead of Joanna Modrzewska with 66. The Trail category was won by Alessandro Ruoso.
