Hermunen shines in France

The Circuit of Roussillon hosted the S1 time practice of the seventh and the last French Grand Prix today, under a shining and hot sun. Hermunen obtained his fourth pole position of the season looking to finish on a height and also Mitchell-Thomas managed to take his fourth pole of the year with very optimistic feelings for tomorrow. Pole position for TM Shr Mauno Hermunen with the fastest lap of 1.33. 608, even though he admitted that he does not feel particularly confident with this type of circuit. The Finnish rider feels pretty calm for tomorrow and he will try to run safe and to avoid any mistakes, in order to get his first Supermoto World Championship Title. He will be supported by his family and friends, coming from Finland just for him. Although he knew the circuit– that is the track he uses to train – the home rider TM Racing Factory Team Thomas Chareyre had to settle down for a second place, probably due to his fall in the off-road part during the free practice this morning, which destabilized him because he hurted one of his rib. However, the defending Champion will give his best to contrast with his brand mate and to reconfirm his title. Third place for APRILIA Fast Wheels Adrien Chareyre who – after having to face some difficulties – was able to find the right setting and his main goal for tomorrow is to win the home GP and to confirm the third place overall. The row will be closed by HM L30 Racing Ivan Lazzarini; the Italian Champion admitted that he likes the track and that even if he did not manage to reach the pole as he wanted to, he will fight for the fourth overall position tomorrow. The second row will be opened by three French riders: TM Racing Factory Team Thierry Van Den Bosch who – after having fallen on the asphalt – managed to obtain a good fifth place. The four times SM World Champion feels good and – at the moment – has solved his flow of blood problem in his right hand. In fact, this was a problem which forced him to withdraw last week in Sicily. Next to him, we find HONDA Luc1 Owatrol Sylvan Bydart – who on this track won the first race of the French Championship – and YAMAHA Team Blot Aurelien Grelier – who did not take part in the Sicilian Grand Prix – coming back as greedy as ever to gain points in front of his public. The second row will be closed by TM Shr Petr Vorlicek who admitted that this circuit fits him, even if he finds some problems with the leg operated last year. Ninth position for SUZUKI Brt Andrea Occhini, who admitted that he had fun in the off-road part and tomorrow he will fight to reach the sixth overall results; the Bulgarian Angel Karanyotov closed the top ten.
