Gresini sees hard road ahead

Fausto Gresini has admitted his team still has plenty of work to do after the opening day of FIM MotoGP World Championship testing at the Losail circuit in Qatar.

Marco Melandri was 12th fastest and Marco Simoncelli 15th as the Gresini San Carlo Honda riders struggled to match the speed of the pacesetters.

Gresini said: "If I am being honest with myself I must admit that I am a little concerned with the amount of work we still have to do but at the same time I am optimistic that we will find the right way forward sooner rather than later.

"With a lot of effort from everybody - riders, technicians and Honda - we will get through what is clearly a difficult time."
